Born in Shiga Prefecture in 1977. His grandfather was Seiemon TANI.
After graduating from Seian University of Art and Design in 2000, he accompanied sculptor Katsushige Nakahashi to exhibitions in Japan and abroad as an assistant. In 2001, he received potter's wheel instruction from Mr. Juzo Kitamura. After that, he entered the family business Seiemon Pottery Studio. In 2007, he built a double-barreled anagama kiln, which is often seen in Shigaraki in the Middle Ages. I'm thinking about Shigaraki vases from the Muromachi period.
